My name is Elisabeth, and I go by Lissa for short. I am a freelance travel writer and a published romance author from United States of America.
I have worked with non-native English speakers for many years in various industries. The experiences I witnessed working with them led me to acquire a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, so that I could help anyone who wanted assistance with improving their English speaking and writing skills.
I don't think anyone should feel they HAVE to have perfect English. However, if you do want to improve yours, I want to offer a gentle and compassionate learning experience that can also provide you a stable foundation in the Whys and Wherefores of the English language so that when we part ways, you can continue to learn confidently on your own.

While I am a lifelong English speaker, I am new to tutoring. I believe that at this stage, I would work best with college students and adults who would like to improve their existing English skills.
I am available to come to anyone in the Twente area, or if preferred we can do virtual tutoring via Skype (FaceTime is also an option if you are an Apple user). I am able to proofread and correct any English coursework or other written work you have with which you need assistance. If you are studying the English language and need help understanding your course materials, I am happy to lend a hand.
I am also happy to have casual conversations with you and work with you to understand where corrections need to be made.
I believe it is good to start with a fifteen to thirty minute conversation to determine if we are a good fit, and then I am available an hour at a time for actual tutoring and conversation.
