My Backstory:
I am a 22 year old South African, studying in the Netherlands. I have been living here for 3 years, and plan to finish my master's program here as well. My first language is Afrikaans, which helps with my grasp on the Dutch language. I decided to complete my tertiary education in the Netherlands to offer myself better opportunities.
My Motivation:
I am extremely passionate about community and providing equal opportunities for everyone. This motivates my aspiration to go into education. In order to progress the skills I require to do so, I pick up tutoring in my free-time. In return I foster an open and welcoming atmosphere and provide students the opportunity to excel.
My experience/ qualifications:
- VWO Diploma,
- Propodeutic Diploma,
- StuKO Edubadge for training students as teachers,
- 6 months as a tutor for 1st year engineering students for subjects such as statics, dynamics, basic algebra and material science,
- 6 moths as a teacher's assistant for subjects including thermodynamics, energy systems, control systems, SolidWorks modelling and MATLAB/Simulink modelling.

Lessons focusing on Mathematics (B) and Physics. Report writing or project management optional.
I focus on providing a fundamental understanding of the subject. How this is achieved depends on the student and their own learning abilities. Most frequently this will include building-up knowledge from the basics, followed by extensive practice and reiteration.
Lessons are primarily for students of secondary or tertiary education. However, this is not a fixed arrangement.
Availability:
- weekends and evenings,
- online or in-person (depending on the location).
All lessons will be done in English.
