As a software developer, I tend to approach language the same way I approach code: logical, structured, and free of unnecessary complexity
1. Let’s discuss our approach in detail in our first lesson (it's for FREE!), please let me know the following information, I will customize the lessons based on the information you provided:
→ Whether you want to learn Mainland simplified Chinese (Putonghua / Pinyin) or Taiwanese Mandarin (Zhuyin / ㄅㄆㄇㄈ)
→ Your goals of learning this language (eg, type of business, your industry or personal interests)
→ The materials you are currently using, the materials you want to use
→ If you need the textbook repetition or not. We can also engage in deep discussions based on real-world scenarios
2. I will visually break down Mandarin grammar and sentence structures. Then we can build up the language based on 'logic' rather than 'feelings' together (correct grammar / sentence structure / historical reasons…etc), like writing clean code.
3. Explaining the 'why' : the history and evolution of this language and its characters, basic usage, the underlying reasons behind the syntax.
4. Real-world scenarios discussions: If necessary, I can simulate a very local cultural approach of business negotiation / daily scenarios in Taiwan or in Northern China, including the local accents and writing methods by providing strategic guidance
5. Project-Driven: Based on your personal capacity, we will have result-oriented tasks that can be completed within 10 minutes per week
→ If you have 10 minutes per week for the assignments: Please formulate questions while completing these assignments. I will reserve 10-20 minutes in each lesson to answer your questions (please email them to me before class or ask during the lesson :)), and I will email you a copy of the materials.
→ If you don’t have 10 minutes for the assignments: I will reserve 30 minutes for the class to explain the relevant details.

Perfect! Lessen met Demmi zijn erg gezellig. Ik wilde zelf wat meer echte conversatie Chinees leren en vooral spreekvaardigheid opdoen. Demmi heeft daar een heel custom leerplan voor gemaakt waar het ook gaat over onderwerpen die ik specifiek benoem. Echt een aanrader
