Hernan is a great teacher who takes in account your needs and wishes and tailors the lesson to perfectly suit you! I got my own online link for my lesson materials so i can practice well at home. He also has a background in composing and music production which was a big plus for me. Definitely would recommend him!!

De lessen van Hernan zijn super, erg gestructureerd en prettig. Hernan stemt de lessen af op wat jij interessant vindt en wat jij wilt bereiken. Achteraf krijg je alle notities toegestuurd die hij in de les gemaakt heeft, waardoor je thuis aan de slag kunt met het toepassen van nieuwe kennis en technieken. Hernan is geduldig en erg vriendelijk. Ik kan hem daarom van harte aanbevelen.

Hernan is een super leraar, hij wist in de eerste les al te achterhalen wat het was dat ik precies moest leren om het niveau te bereiken wat ik wil. Hij is een hele goede gitarist en heeft een hele fijne rustige stijl als docent. De lessen zijn heel goed gestructureerd en hij stuurt alle notities op in een handige PDF na de les. Daarnaast heeft hij ook altijd tijd na de les voor vragen, en is hij heel flexibel in het plannen van de lessen.

Heb de laatste paar maanden al meer geleerd dan in de afgelopen 5 jaar in mijn eentje! Ik kan hem aan iedereen aanraden.

I’ve been taking private music theory lessons with Hernan for almost two years and he helped me to learn so many different topics! I literally knew almost nothing before, and thanks to his classes I could start attending musicology Seminars at my University in Germany. Not only he has a lot of knowledge, but he also knows how to teach and explain everything in a very understandable way. I sometimes even bring German concepts that cannot be translated and that I barely understand but he always manages to help me anyways! The lessons are enjoyable, flexible to my needs and versatile in terms of materials and online tools. I recommend him 100%!!

Hernan is a good teacher who is very skilled at teaching music theory as well as paying attention to playing interestingly with dynamics and creativity. In the lessons there is a good and flexible balance between coming up with your own ideas about what you want to learn (such as a specific song) and what Hernan thinks is a good idea to learn next. Besides teaching skills, Hernan is a social and nice person to talk with.

Hernan heeft gigantisch veel kennis van muziek, je kan al je vragen kwijt bij hem. De lessen zijn helemaal gericht op het doel dat je wilt bereiken. Ik raad iedereen die gitaar speelt en beter wilt worden of merr muziektheorie te snappen aan om les bij Hernan te nemen! Je gaat er geen spijt van krijgen.

I've had multiple guitar teachers over the past few years, but none of them had the ability to connect with me in such a profound way. Hernan is very able to spot areas of improvement and is, unlike my previous teachers, actually able to convey music theory - something that doesn't come natural to me - in a clear manner. I've definitely improved my theoretical knowledge and playing abilities while taking lessons from Hernan. Other than that, he's a very friendly and easy-going guy. I highly recommend him.

Via Superprof I found Hernan as a guitar teacher in Utrecht. Hernan is a very nice, patient and experienced teacher. The balance between 'fun playing' and explanation about music theory (since I am a complete beginner) is very good. Lessons via Zoom are also possible and really recommendable. If you are looking for a nice teacher who can teach you how to play guitar but also teaches you some of the fundamentals/theory, look no further.
