Over Healy
I picked up a blue pen at eleven and have been writing ever since. Over the years, writing has become not only a passion but a craft.
For me, writing and reading are inseparable practices, and I hold a BA and MA in Comparative Literature and am an alumna of the creative writing programs at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Amsterdam. My short fiction has been recognized in several competitions, and recently, I performed my work at Mezrab and the Shut Up and Write Festival.
Alongside my writing, I bring seven years of experience in education, guiding, and mentoring. I have worked with hundreds of participants in museums and parks, as well as in more intimate settings such as workshops, discussion groups, and sharing circles. Over the years, I have also had the great privilege of supporting others in their first steps into the world of writing.
Writing in a vacuum, without a community, can be a lonely endeavor. That is why I always aim to create an attentive and supportive workshop space, where participants can experiment, take risks, and discover their own creative voice. Together, we explore storytelling, turning blank pages into vibrant stories.

I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs, focusing on clarity, structure, and confidence in both academic and creative writing. My approach is supportive but analytical: I help you understand how your writing works, and how to improve it in a practical way.
Lessons usually involve working directly with your text or assignment. We break down essay questions, develop arguments, and improve structure, style, and coherence. For creative writing, we focus on voice, narrative structure, and technique through guided exercises and feedback.
A typical lesson starts with your goal for that session, followed by focused work on your writing, and ends with clear next steps so you can continue independently. I also offer feedback on drafts between sessions if needed.
I specialise in essay writing, literary analysis, thesis support, academic style, and creative writing development. My lessons are aimed at BA and MA students in literature and the humanities, as well as international students who want to improve academic writing and structure.
