Over the past decade, I have worked my way through university gaining both my Bachelor and Master of Arts. I achieved this through online, distance learning while working full-time. So I understand the struggle of balancing study with life.
When I started my academic journey I didn’t have any idea of specializing. However, over the years, I developed a passion for contemporary and modern history. Specifically how these relate to today’s issues of climate change and sustainability. Hence my interest in Environmental History.
I am keen to move away from a European perspective to a global one, and during my Master degree studied Global History. I developed an interest in the anti-colonial movements which added to my knowledge of the history of slavery and racism.

Do you want an historical understanding of today’s issues?
My specialty is the 20th century, although, I’m still good going back to 1750. I have both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
The object of my lessons is to help you with an area you may be struggling with or would like a better understanding of.
Each lesson or series of lessons will be geared to the student’s needs. Any age up to Bachelor level, possibly Master. So, we will start with a free 15 minute chat (or longer) to ascertain your desired outcome.
Subjects can include:
• Limits to Growth and Degrowth
• The Anthropocene and the Great Acceleration
• Consumerism and Sustainability
• The Imperial Empires of the 20th century and the League of Nations
• What is Global History?
• The End of Slavery
• Racism
