Over Joshua Julio
Hi, I'm Joshua, your dedicated tutor in Math, Physics and Chemistry!
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biomolecular Engineering and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, both from KAIST in South Korea, one of the leading technical universities in Asia. I have been tutoring and teaching for over 10 years, so I know how to explain difficult topics in a way that makes sense.
I moved to the Netherlands last year, and I speak fluent English and some Dutch. That means I can support students who prefer English, and I can also explain the Dutch terminology used in school.
I love teaching, and nothing makes me happier than the moment a student says, "Oh, now I get it!" Feel free to send me a message to plan a trial lesson. I'm happy to answer any questions beforehand.

I believe students understand a subject best when they see why something works, not just how to apply a formula. I start from the student's current level, find the gaps, and rebuild from there. I explain concepts step by step, use everyday examples and drawings, and let students try problems themselves before I step in. Mistakes are part of learning, so I stay patient and encouraging. After 10 years of tutoring, I've learned that every student needs a different explanation, and I adapt until it clicks.
Who my lessons are for
- Secondary school students (havo and vwo) who need help with Math, Physics or Chemistry
- Students preparing for tests, exams or the eindexamen
Students at international schools or in bilingual education who prefer lessons in English
- Students who feel stuck or have lost confidence in a subject and want to rebuild it
- Motivated students who want to go deeper than the school curriculum
