I am an English language piano teacher based in Den Haag, able to cater to expats or people looking to practice English. As a teacher I am patient and open-minded, and with credentials in both Jazz/Pop and classical piano performance, I'm able to assist with any music a student throws at me.
I have a strong track record helping students with score interpretation, composition, improvisation, video game music, theory and more. I'm also able to assist with exams and auditions.
I have a background in the Suzuki Method which has highly elevated my ability to teach children.
I also have a background in the Taubman approach, which has helped me served as a technique coach to even highly advanced players.

As mentioned above, I have an undergraduate degree in jazz/pop piano performance, and a master's degree in classical piano performance. I have performed and/or recorded with artists such as Aretha Tillotson, Joel Jeschke, Calvin Love, Trevor McNeely, Justine Vandergrift, Erin Selin, and more.

For me, the lessons are primarily guided by my student's motivations, then from there I add my expertise to make sure their goals at the instrument are coming to fruition.
Whether a student wants to learn classical piano, composition, improvisation, video game music, pop music, or more - I can assist them.
I also have a very strong foundation in my technical teaching, as a result I'll make sure that you know how to play the things you want to play - I will never just recommend "more hours".
