Perfect! First lesson went extremely well. We first looked at some of my recent online games to establish my level and my weaknesses. Then, Agil showed some interesting positions to discuss making plans and activity of the pieces. We ended by discussing how I could improve by self-study. I will definitely contact Agil for the next lesson!

Perfect! He’s a good communicator, empathetic and listens. He knows how to explain situations and why you need to do certain things. To make a long story short, an excellent teacher for a more than worthy price!

Perfect! Agil has been a fantastic chess mentor. His guidance, patience, and deep understanding of the game have made a real difference. He took the time to connect and teach in a way that was both engaging and effective. I’m truly grateful for the positive impact he’s had.

Perfect! I had 2 lessons with Agil thus far. He is definitely really experienced in chess. He sees things very quickly and notices things to improve on right away. He goes through many lines very fast, sometimes it's a little hard to keep up for an amateur like me. But his knowledge is very valuable and has helped me structure my own practicing a lot. He has given resources on studying openings, middlegames and endgames. He's also a very friendly guy which really helps too! Looking forward to more lessons.

Excellent! Up to so far I had only an intro meeting so keep that in mind while reading this review.

For starters, Agil replies quickly which I really appreciated.

In the intro session we looked at my chess.com account insights. Unfortunately those games are 2+1 and 5 and 5+5 games that I play for fun and don't mind that much about the rating. That being said, Agil did provide some tips already that I can be more mindful about and act accordingly. He picked two games to get a bit of an idea of how I play. Based on that we touched shortly upon openings and new lines.

Furthermore, we looked at the basics like game position (who is better and why), piece (mis)placements and re-routing ideas, and which side of the board to attack. Usefull things to get back to. Recalibrating the basic understandings of chess based upon Agil's experience. Always good to get external experience to challenge own gameplay as an engine doesn't explain the why of the moves.

Ofcourse it is too early to tell from one session but I do expect that Agil can help me to improve my gameplay. Looking forward to it to say the lease.
