Over Derin
Hi! I'm a master's student currently living in Belgium, and music has been an important part of my life since childhood. I started playing the piano at the age of six and also studied at a conservatory from an early age, where I developed my musical skills and appreciation for different aspects of music.
Alongside my academic studies, I enjoy creative activities and exploring different forms of artistic expression. Music has always been a meaningful way for me to express myself, and I'd love to share that passion with younger generations.
I'm particularly interested in teaching children and teenagers who are beginners or at an intermediate level. I enjoy the idea of helping students discover music, develop their skills, and find enjoyment in playing the piano, whether they're learning for fun or hoping to progress further.
As a teacher, I aim to be patient, approachable, and encouraging. I want my students to feel comfortable exploring music at their own pace and to develop a genuine appreciation for playing the piano.

My teaching approach combines the musical foundations I developed through conservatory education from an early age with a friendly, creative, and student-centered approach. Having played the piano since I was six, I understand how important it is to build strong fundamentals while also enjoying the process of learning music.
I adapt my lessons to each student's age, level, interests, and learning pace. For beginners, we focus on reading notes, rhythm, basic music theory, hand coordination, and developing good playing habits. For intermediate students, we can work on improving technique, musical expression, interpretation, and tackling more challenging pieces.
I believe learning piano should be more than simply repeating notes. I encourage students to understand the music they play, develop their own musical curiosity, and gradually gain confidence and independence. I aim to create a patient and supportive environment where children and teenagers feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and discovering their own relationship with music.
My goal is to help each student build a solid musical foundation while keeping lessons enjoyable, motivating, and tailored to their individual goals.
