Over Jihane
Hi, I’m Jihane — a Master of Law graduate with professional experience in a Big 4 environment, and over four years of experience teaching Dutch and French.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a highly structured and analytical way of thinking, which I naturally bring into my teaching. I specialise in breaking down complex concepts into clear, accessible explanations — something my students consistently value.
At the same time, I place great importance on the human side of learning. I know that confidence, trust and feeling at ease are essential to real progress. That is why I create a supportive and non-judgmental environment, where you can learn at your own pace and feel comfortable making mistakes.
Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of learners — from complete beginners to more advanced profiles — and I always adapt my approach to the individual. My goal is not only to help you improve your language skills, but also to help you feel confident using them in real-life situations.

My teaching approach is built on one key idea: language should feel clear, human and empowering — not overwhelming.
With a background as a Master of Law and experience in a Big 4 environment, I naturally bring structure, precision and clarity into my lessons. At the same time, I strongly believe that learning only truly happens in a safe, encouraging and personalised environment.
I combine structured explanations with practical use of the language. This means you won’t just learn rules — you will understand them and actually be able to use them in real-life situations. My method focuses on clarity, repetition with variation, and active practice, so that what you learn truly sticks.
A typical lesson is always tailored to your needs, but generally includes a short recap, a clear explanation of new concepts, guided practice, and real conversation to build your confidence. You will always leave the session knowing exactly what you learned and how to apply it.
One of my key strengths is the ability to explain complex things in a simple and structured way. I create a space where you feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and progressing at your own rhythm. Thanks to my analytical background, I quickly identify where you are blocked and adapt my approach accordingly.
My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate learners (A0–B2), expats, professionals or students who are looking for clarity, structure and confidence in Dutch or French. Whether your goal is to improve your speaking skills, better understand the language, or simply feel more at ease, I tailor each lesson fully to you.
