Over Olga
My name is Olga, and I am an Italian language teacher. I hold a Master's degree in tourism, with a specialization as an Italian language guide-interpreter. I have six years of experience working as a guide with Italian tourists on river cruises. Currently, I am pursuing the Master DITALS (Didactics of Italian as a Second Language) at the University for Foreigners in Siena to deepen my pedagogical skills. While originally from Ukraine, I hold a CILS QUATTRO C2 certification (2019), attesting to my advanced proficiency in Italian. I also speak English (B1+) and Dutch (A2). I've taught Italian at a university in Ukraine, where I also served as an interpreter and translator in the international department. With 14 years of online teaching experience, I have worked with both individual students and small groups of 2-4 persons. I have also prepared students for various language certifications. My portfolio includes successfully guiding students to attain PLIDA B1 (2 students), PLIDA B2 (2 students), CILS B2 (1 student), and CELI 4 C1 (1 student) certifications. I don't want to sound clichéd, but the Italian language is a driving force for me, propelling me forward regardless of the circumstances. I am eager to instill this same passion in you!

I focus on a student-centered teaching approach. My planning process begins with understanding the educational needs and objectives of my students. While a textbook that aligns with your level and goals is the primary resource, I supplement this with additional authentic materials adjusted to your language level. Homework is an integral aspect of language learning. While I can guide and assist you, self-study is essential. You will be assigned homework, which I will check and review outside of our lesson time. Don't worry, the amount of homework assigned will depend on your individual goals and free time. My intention is for my students to achieve tangible results, not just to pass the time together.
