Hi! I’m an Australian professional musician and teacher currently completing my Master of Music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I graduated with First Class Honours from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and have over 5 years of teaching experience in Australia.
Throughout my music studies, I have completed extensive Harmony and Analysis, Aural Training and Music Theory coursework, as well as Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) Music Theory Grades 1–5. As a professional trumpet player, I have also performed with Australian orchestras, giving me a strong practical understanding of how music theory connects to real musical performance.
I love making music theory clear, approachable and relevant, and I aim to create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through concepts at their own pace. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, strengthening your musicianship, or simply wanting to understand music better, I’ll tailor lessons to your individual needs and goals.

My approach to music theory
I like to make music theory clear, practical and relevant to the music you actually want to understand. Rather than simply memorising rules, I help students see how theory connects to what they hear, play and read.
Lessons can cover music notation, scales and keys, intervals, chords and harmony, rhythm, analysis, ear training and aural skills, depending on your level and goals. We’ll work through concepts together using practical examples and exercises, gradually building your knowledge and confidence.
I can tailor lessons for complete beginners through to advanced students, including those studying for school assessments, auditions, or anyone wanting to strengthen their general musicianship and understanding of music.
