Over Luba
Do you want to develop your piano skills with guidance that’s both professional and supportive? I’ve been teaching and playing piano for 25+ years, and I love helping students grow in confidence, technique, and musical expression – at their own pace and in their own style.
With Bachelor and Master Diplomas as a pianist, harpsichordist, piano teacher and vocal coach from 3 top conservatories in St. Petersburg, The Hague, and Amsterdam, Coaching and Counselling Diploma from the Dutch Academy, and Confidential Advisor Diploma from LIVP, I work as a freelance pianist, coach and counsellor with companies like the Dutch National Opera, Opera Zuid, the Dutch National Touring Opera, Conservatoire of The Hague and have my own private practice. I bring all that experience into the lesson room – in a way that’s clear, relaxed, and encouraging.
Whether you're just starting out or returning to piano after a break, we’ll work together to make music something you truly enjoy and feel proud of.

In my piano lessons, we work on musical and technical challenges, always with attention to the way you learn and experience music. No endless repetition – just focused, personal work on what you need. I help you connect more deeply with your own sound, skills, and artistic personality – whether you're preparing for auditions, performances, or simply playing for yourself.
A lesson might look like this:
You play the piece (if that feels comfortable)
We talk about what you experience – what feels natural, what feels tricky
I offer feedback and highlight areas we can improve together
We dive deeper into the music: phrasing, expression, rhythm, or technique
And sometimes, we play the piece again at the end to feel the progress
Every student is different – that’s why I tailor the lessons to your level, pace, and goals. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Curiosity and openness matter more than perfection! My credo is that mistakes are not only allowed - they are necessary for growth and self-trust! - and the result is that my students (and myself) have almost 0% of mistakes during the performances.
