About me
I am a Bioscience Engineering student at KU Leuven, currently pursuing my Master’s in Cellular and Genetic Engineering. I previously completed my B.Tech in Biotechnology with a specialisation in Medical Biotechnology, where I developed a strong interest in molecular biology, genetics, gene therapy and biomedical research. Alongside my studies, I have worked on research projects involving gene therapy, CRISPR, stem cells and infectious diseases, and I am currently working on my Master’s thesis as I prepare to pursue a PhD and eventually become a professor.
I also have professional experience in the life sciences and biotechnology sector, having worked in technology consulting and patent research, where I worked with pharmaceutical, biotech and other science-driven companies. This gave me a broader perspective on how scientific knowledge is applied beyond the classroom.
I enjoy teaching because I genuinely like breaking complicated ideas down until they finally make sense. I am patient with students who need more time, and I would rather spend an extra 20 minutes making sure something is understood than rush through a chapter just to finish it. My aim is to help students build understanding, confidence and curiosity, not just prepare for the next test.

About my lessons
I am studying Bioscience Engineering at KU Leuven, with the long-term goal of becoming a professor. For me, teaching is not about rushing through chapters or simply memorising answers. I want students to actually understand what they are learning.
We will go chapter by chapter and exercise by exercise, making sure the basics are clear before moving ahead. I prefer teaching at a pace where every student can keep up, rather than moving quickly and leaving someone behind. If a student needs more time, more examples or extra practice, I am happy to give it.
My lessons are practical, interactive and adapted to the student. We will identify what is difficult, break it down, work through it together and then practise until the student can do it independently.
And honestly, I don't mind going over something twice, five times or ten times. The goal is not to finish the chapter. The goal is to make sure the student actually gets it.
