Over Katarina
My name is Katarina, I have been living in The Hague for 10 years and am originally from Belgium, with Czech roots. I really enjoy nature, traveling, cooking, eating delicious food together, dancing, singing, and being in silence. Since a young age I have been fascinated by stories, myths and the mystical world, and I am completely in love with the Indian Tradition; the stories, songs, poems and hymns. The narrative form closest to my heart is dance/movement and music/singing.
I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and have danced with professional ballet/dance companies for several years. Yoga and meditation had a supportive role in addition to my dance training since a young age (14 years old). Over the years, the daily practice of yoga and meditation became the nourishing element of my day. It supports me in dealing with the whirling mind and daily challenges, reminding me to always come back home to the NOW and to live from my heart. Currently, I am self-employed and active as a dancer, dance teacher, yoga teacher, choreographer, massage therapist and babysitter.

In this class I will guide you through a gentle meditative warm-up, where we first connect to our body through the breath. We continue activating the body with playful movement explorations, to taste both familiar and unfamiliar movement qualities. We end the session with a free dance expression, where there is space to welcome your personal dance in the present moment. The session is supported by music, and will take about 1 hour. It is is designed for every "body" interested in lovingly connecting to their body, and give rise to their dance of the heart.
