I am currently a masters student in mathematics at Leiden University, having completed a bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and a B.Sc. Honours degree in mathematics at Stellenbosch University.
From 2016 to 2022, I was a teaching assistant for various mathematics courses at these universities, including for courses in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, real analysis, and discrete mathematics.
I have always been enthusiastic about mathematics, starting in high school when I was a member of the South African team for the International Mathematics Olympiad.
I have tutored students at all levels, and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.

I have been a teaching assistant for various bachelor's mathematics courses since 2016, and have had a number of private clients at a high-school level. I have also been involved in training students participating in mathematics olympiads.
The courses for which I have been a tutor include calculus, linear algebra, real analysis, differential equations, set theory, logic, and number theory.
I have an external touchscreen monitor that can be used as a virtual whiteboard, and can make the notes that are created available to students after the lesson.
I believe that it is important to reinforce knowledge that a student already has, and to identify misconceptions that a student may have about a topic that are preventing them from solving the problems they are working on. I also emphasize understanding the methods that are employed to solve a problem, and find that this makes the content easier to remember.
