I am passionate about teaching because I come from a family of teachers. My grandmother and my mentor who taught people during the wartime, inspired me to always share knOwledge because that’s the thread that’s keeping humanity connected. Her name was madame Cisari, she taught Me everything I knew about the French language. Thanks to her my grade in French was the highest locally when I graduated my high school.

Firstly, my approach is to customize my lesson in accordance to my student’s level, age, goals and interests. Once I do, I like to assign deadlines. For example, in a latter weeks I would recommend a French movie to my student and in return they recommend me a movie. after watching the assigned movie, we write a short opinion piece that we discuss by the next session.
I find this approach fruitful. The student immerses themselves in the French culture by discussing a media artefact. Not only does It help to enrich their literacy and vocabulary. But giving them the agency to choose the topic of discussion makes the experience more immersive and enjoyable to the student. It’s all about keeping the balance between education and entertainment !
