My name is Seung Yeon Choi but I also go by 'yellow duck' as a nickname. I am a published writer from Seoul, South Korea. (I published 4 books in Korean about my nomadic traveling life) I have an academic background in art & craft and theater design.
I live together with my husband and daughter, and work as a painter, writer, workshop organizer and language teacher in Den Bosch.

I offer personalized lessons tailored to your interests and goals. Whether you're a complete beginner starting with Hangul (the Korean alphabet) or someone who wants to practice everyday conversation, you can learn in a way that keeps you motivated.
We can explore Korean through K-dramas, K-pop lyrics, Korean culture, or current news (any BTS ARMY here? ), even literature since I have written essays. For students who prefer a structured approach, I also use textbooks from Korean language schools.
Lessons take place in my cozy flat in Den Bosch, creating a relaxed learning environment, but other options can also be discussed depending on your preference.
Suitable for beginners, K-culture fans, travelers, or professionals preparing for a trip or stay in Korea.

Join my cozy Korean language & Gimbal workshop in Den Bosch, The Netherlands!
Join a relaxed and friendly workshop where you will explore Korean language and food at the same time. In this 2.5 hour session, you will learn Hangul (the Korean alphabet), practice basic Korean greetings like 안녕하세요(hello), and roll your own delicious Gimbap.
This workshop is hosted in my cozy place near the centre of Den Bosch. The group is intentionally small (maximum 4 people) so everyone can learn comfortably and enjoy the experience.
In this session you will:
- Learn Hangul (Korean alphabet)
- Practice basic Korean expressions & useful phrases
- Roll your own delicious Gimbap
- Enjoy a fun cultural experience in a relaxed setting (Are you a fan of K-pop & K drama?)
- Date: Every Wednesday 5:30pm ~ 8:00pm
- Location: Atelier Yellowduck (15 min walk from Den Bosch centre)
- Small group: max 4 people
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- €60 per person (all materials included)
- Vegan option available
- The workshop is held in English
