Hi everyone! My name is Shin , and I’m so happy to welcome you to our Mandarin class! I’m a language lover, a passionate teacher, and someone who truly believes that culture is the heart of communication.
One of my biggest joys in life is sharing culture through food — whether it’s introducing someone to their first box of real Taiwanese bento or talking about the stories behind traditional dishes during Lunar New Year. Food connects people, just like language does, and that’s exactly the kind of experience I hope to bring into our lessons.
In my classes, you won’t just learn Mandarin — you’ll live it. We’ll speak, interact, and explore cultural topics together, often with food as our inspiration. My goal is to make learning feel natural, fun, and deeply connected to real life.

Welcome to my live conversational Mandarin class, designed for learners from beginner to HSK 3 level, especially those studying toward a language diploma or looking to improve real-world communication. My teaching approach combines language learning with cultural immersion — we won’t just memorize vocabulary or grammar; we’ll experience Mandarin through practical, everyday scenarios.
Each lesson follows a dynamic flow: we begin with a short warm-up and vocabulary introduction, followed by scenario-based roleplays like ordering food, asking for directions, or attending cultural events. I guide you through speaking practice, correct gently, and provide cultural insights along the way. We end with feedback and useful takeaways to reinforce what you’ve learned.
My strength lies in creating a fun, interactive space where you feel comfortable speaking Mandarin from day one. These lessons are ideal for learners who want more than textbook knowledge — they’re for anyone ready to speak, connect, and explore Chinese language and culture.
