Over Yasmin Diktas
I graduated in 2024 from the Dance Academy of the Amsterdam University of the Arts. I have been working as a dancer, maker, and teacher in the Netherlands. My performance is currently touring throughout the country, and my new work will also be presented at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival.
Alongside my own creations, I am also active as a dancer for choreographers and productions of others. My work focuses on the healing power of dance and explores themes such as diaspora, oppression, and generational trauma through movement and improvisation.

The online classes are designed to help you reconnect with your body and quiet the mind. Through movement, you are invited to surrender to the present moment and allow energy to flow freely within you.
My research focuses on how movement can help release energy stored in the body. After working as a social worker, I became interested in exploring new forms of expression that could support and empower people in a different way. This journey led me to complete a degree in Dance at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. I now work in the Netherlands as both a dancer and dance maker. In the performances I create, as well as in the productions I perform in, I apply the techniques and research I have developed around releasing energy through movement.
In these classes, we will explore this practice together. I will guide you through improvisation techniques and movement exercises that help you release mental tension, connect more deeply with your body, and move intuitively. The intention is that after each class, you feel lighter, more grounded, and more open within yourself.

Yasmin is een lerares die oog heeft voor de groei van haar leerlingen. Zij biedt een veilige leeromgeving waarin je je vrij voelt om jezelf te ontwikkelen. Haar lessen zijn gegrond en tegelijkertijd open voor creativiteit.
De manier waarop zij lesgeeft laat zien dat je beter wordt wanneer je leert luisteren naar je lichaam. Dat geeft niet alleen meer vertrouwen, maar ook meer verdieping in de dans.
Ik heb haar lessen met veel plezier gevolgd en merk dat ik in korte tijd nieuwe inspiratie heb opgedaan in mijn dans. Ik raad haar aan aan iedereen die wil leren dansen, wil groeien in dans en zichzelf meer wil leren waarderen als danser!!Bekijk meer aanbevelingen
