Over Susie
I live in Antwerp with my husband (Glen) and my lovely dog (Lucky).
I teach to children and adult beginenrs. Why? Because I am convinced that my mission is for my students to love music, to make it part of their lives and to pass on the joy of playing the piano to their loved ones, and in the case of children, to their future children.
Professionalism, empathy and patience describe me when teaching. In summary, I give basic piano lessons to all ages, because I want them to love music, to like practicing the piano and to enjoy an activity that contributes to their life.
Experience / Qualifications
- 10 years of experience as a Music teacher in Kindergarten.
- 20 years of experience as a Piano teacher.
- I had my own music academy called 'Clases de Música Rondó'.
- 2 years of experience with the Music together method.
- I am currently a member of the ArtiVocali choir.

The course is aimed at children and adult beginners. I use an American method that my students have loved, which consists of a book with piano exercises, an activity book to reinforce music theory, and audios to practice at home. We also cover free pieces, which are scores that are not in the book, but that are chosen between me and the student, so that the student performs it in public: in front of family and friends. We can speak in Spanish and English and intermediate Dutch.
I have 20 years of experience in music teaching. I am passionate about teaching! And the most important thing for me is that the student manages to love music and that studying the piano is part of his life, regardless of whether he plans to dedicate himself to another activity.
