Over Moshik

Ik ben een native speaker Hebreeuws en heb ervaring als universitair docent aan de eerste Joodse universiteit van Zuid-Amerika, Abarbanel. Momenteel ben ik ook pedagogisch coördinator van de taalschool New School in Tel Aviv. Ik ben opgeleid aan de Universiteit van Cambridge (CELTA) en aan het Europees Taalcentrum in Curitiba.

Mijn lessen zijn gepersonaliseerd, dynamisch en vanaf het begin gericht op conversatie. Ik werk met leerlingen van verschillende niveaus en leeftijden, met altijd de focus op concrete resultaten en het plezier van leren.

Over deze les

Mijn lesmethode is gebaseerd op echte communicatie en praktisch taalgebruik vanaf de allereerste les. Als docent met universitaire ervaring en internationale opleiding (CELTA – Cambridge), streef ik naar een balans tussen spreekvaardigheid en een solide begrip van de taalsystematiek.

Ik hanteer een communicatieve en studentgerichte aanpak die waarde hecht aan:

Focus op Conversatie
Vanaf de eerste lessen worden studenten aangemoedigd om Hebreeuws te spreken, zelfs met een beperkte woordenschat. We gebruiken nuttige zinnen, alledaagse contexten en rollenspellen (zoals jezelf voorstellen, boodschappen doen, praten met vrienden, enz.).

Grammatica in Context
In plaats van losse regels aan te leren, introduceer ik grammatica op een natuurlijke manier via dialogen, verhalen en interactieve oefeningen. Zo leren studenten structuren begrijpen en toepassen zonder mechanisch te hoeven memoriseren.

Persoonlijk Leren
Elke leerling is uniek. Daarom pas ik het tempo, de inhoud en het lesmateriaal aan op basis van het niveau, de interesses en de doelen van de student (aliya, cultuur, werk, enz.).

Authentiek Hebreeuws
Ik introduceer het Hebreeuws zoals het daadwerkelijk in Israël wordt gesproken – met moderne uitdrukkingen, realistisch vocabulaire en culturele referenties. Daarbij maak ik duidelijke onderscheidingen tussen formeel Hebreeuws (zoals bijbels Hebreeuws) en het huidige spreektaalgebruik.

Geheugentechnieken
Ik gebruik geheugenstrategieën zoals gespreide herhaling, visuele associaties en het gebruik van volledige zinnen om het onthouden van vocabulaire en structuren te vergemakkelijken.

Leren met Plezier en Zelfvertrouwen
Ik geloof dat leren licht, motiverend en betekenisvol moet zijn. Ik creëer een veilige leeromgeving waarin fouten maken onderdeel is van het proces en de leerling zich vrij voelt om zich uit te drukken.

Ele é o principal cliente e parece estar bem satisfeito com a compra; tem expressado euforia e curiosidade para continuar com os estudos, além de conseguir manter um nível muito satisfatório de concentração durante as aulas, - coisa incomum que constitui nosso desafio atual aqui em casa, quando os assuntos são rotina escolar e extracurriculares. Pelos feedbacks aqui no Superprofessor eu já tinha alguma ideia de que esse professor valeria a pena; mas fico feliz por ter tido boa impressão quanto à sua experiência didática com crianças. Ele superou as expectativas: bem antes da pandemia meu filho já fazia uso de EAD para homeschooling e também durante a pandemia, quando a grade escolar passou p/ híbrida. Logo, o que me impressionou dessa vez é que o Professor Moshik está fora da curva, pois seu método desenvolve-se no trivial e na quietude e, ainda assim, consegue segurar a atenção de uma criança agitada. Seu trabalho desperta uma nostalgia daquele jeitinho tradicional de ensinar… quando os professores preocupavam-se em instaurar antes de tudo um setting propício para acontecer a interação do tipo “professor-aprendiz”, com harmonia ótima entre escuta afetuosa e transmissão de conhecimento. O Professor foi zeloso com a demanda e adequou com proficiência um equilíbrio muito agradável entre o instrumental e a introdução de elementos de cultura geral judaica./ O atendimento é individualizado e me chamou atenção um cuidado que eu nunca tinha visto antes em aulas online: o Professor Moshik deixa claro que gosta de interagir com os pais, o que acaba funcionando como uma espécie de report escolar, desses que a gente recebe pessoalmente na escola quando vai buscar os filhos na hora da saída. Achei a iniciativa muito acertada porque simula um clima de acolhimento indubitavelmente muito mais favorável pra criança se desenvolver!

Yes! I’m a native Hebrew speaker, born and raised in Israel. I have years of experience of teaching Hebrew as a foreign language to foreign speakers. I used to work for the Jewish comunity of Curitiba (Southern Brasil) as a Hebrew teacher for children from 1st grade to 9th grade, and also currently work as a language teacher and as a manager of a language school in Tel Aviv, called “New School”.

In my opinion, Eliezer Ben Yehuda represents Israeli culture, and particularly the Hebrew language. Thanks to him, the Hebrew language has survived and still spoken, afer many years that the language was “death”.

My favorite Hebrew word is שלום (Shalom), that both means hello and peace in Hebrew, I find the idea of when you greet someone you wish him peace is a beautiful idea.

In my opinion, learning Hebrew is important because Hebrew is the most ancient language in the world that is still spoken until nowadays.
Learning Hebrew will give you access to the most ancient texts which were written by humans, will connect you with your faith, and also will give you the opportunity of understanding Israeli culture and society better.
Qual a maior dificuldade no aprendizado desta língua e o como contornar este obstáculo?
I think that the main difficulty of Hebrew learners is the fact that you need to learn an entire Alphabeth from the scratch. However, in my lessons I help my students to overcome this difficulty by teaching the hebrew Alphabeth in a very dynamic way, with a clear lesson plan, which answers the students’ needs.

I cannot think about a specific story, but I find it very interesting teaching Hebrew to speakers of different languages, and I find it fascinating how people who speak completely different languages are able to learn Hebrew.

That’s an easy one for me. When I finished my military service (which is mandatory in Israel), I decided to take my backpack, and travel the world by my own. Without a plan or a final destination, but with the idea of learning about different cultures and languages. I was able to learn Spanish and Portuguese simultaneously, while traveling, and to get myself to a C1+ level in both languages. My travels gave me many opportunities, both socially and professionally, and definitely made my life more interesting.
O que faz de você um Superprof (além do poder de se comunicar em várias línguas 😜) ?
In my opinion, the fact that I’m a polyglot (I speak 5 languages fluently) makes me a superprof. I have empathy for the learning curve of foreign students, and can understand really well the difficulties with language learning, and always do my best to adapt myself to the students’ needs.
