Over Guillermo
I have been playing drums since I was 9 and performing professionally since age 15.
My musical projects have taken me through stages all around the world (South Korea, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, India, Spain), playing styles as diverse as Reggae, Cumbia, Jazz, Klezmer, Ska or Thrash Metal.
I graduated with a Jazz Bachelor from the Koninklijke Conservatorium Den Haag and a minor in Hindustani Rhythms (Tala) at Codarts (Rotterdam). Since 2020 I have been formally teaching online at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, and have been teaching privately since 2014.

I like to put a strong focus on helping my students to become the musicians they want to be. In order to achieve this I like to make sure the lessons have a good balance between fun personal musical challenges and the various techniques (and bits of theory if needed) that will help you enjoy the most your time behind the drums (or sitting on your cajón!)
The lessons can take place either at my studio or at your house, or we can even alternate!
That way you get used to playing different drums (more drums = more fun). Also, it is possible to have online lessons. And if you still don't have your instrument that is not a problem, music always finds its way!
