Hi, I’m Thaleia! I’m from Athens, and I’m in Ghent for a research internship in psychology at Ghent University. Greek has always been more than a language to me: it carries our history, our humour, and a way of seeing the world, and I love sharing that with others. Living abroad has made me appreciate it even more, and teaching it is a way to bring a little piece of home with me. With my background in psychology, I’m fascinated by how people learn, so I enjoy finding the approach that works best for each person. Whether you want to order a coffee in Athens or read Plato in the original, I’d love to help you get there.

Greek lessons– Modern or Ancient Greek Hi! I'm Thaleia, a native Greek speaker from Athens, living in Ghent. I'm offering Greek lessons in English, in person or online, for all levels. Modern Greek: perfect if you're planning a trip, have Greek family or a Greek partner, or simply love the language. We'll focus on real, everyday Greek: speaking, listening, and the culture behind the words, not just grammar tables by making it more interactive including songs or things based on your hobbies. Ancient Greek: for students, philosophy and history lovers, or anyone curious about the language of Homer and Plato. I studied Ancient Greek throughout school in Greece, and I can help you with reading, grammar, and understanding texts. What makes my lessons special: • You learn from a native speaker, with natural pronunciation and the expressions Greeks actually use. • My background in psychology means I understand how people learn, so I adapt every lesson to your pace, goals, and learning style. • You get the living connection between Ancient and Modern Greek, which makes both easier to understand.
