I consider that the goal is to develop healthy singing skills. In that sense I think that basic concepts of Vocal Technique (such as breathing, high notes, musicality and interpretation, etc...) are the same and is possible to apply them in any kind of music that the student wish to sing.
I try to split my singing lessons in three or four sections depending on the student. First we start with body and warm up exercises, later we focus on tuning and technique and we always finish singing and applying what we learnt in the repertory that the student prefers.
I am an opera and early music singer, anyways most of my students have been pop music singers interested in learning vocal technique.

Gracias!
Sergio is an excellent teacher. His classes are dynamic, and he teaches the basic principles of singing through practical exercises. My singing has improved a lot since I started taking lessons with him. I highly recommend him 100%!
Sergio is my first singing teacher and I can't be grateful enough for what he taught me the last 2 years. He knows a LOT about the mechanisms of the voice and his classes are always a pleasure since his patience and creativity make me feel safe and able to enjoy the path of discovering my voice.
Sergio is a wonderful teacher! He has the voice of an angel, and he takes himself and his work seriously. In our classes, Sergio's worked with me on technical things like breathing and pitch control, as well as musical and performance aspects. He's really helped me develop a lot of skill and confidence as a singer. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to explore their tone, expand their vocal range, or even workshop original songs. Sergio is the best!
