Violin lessons in Utrecht for all levels - available via webcam during these times

Perfect! I have played the violin for years when I was young but hadn't had violin lessons for over a year. Last year I wanted to start again and that's why I contacted Mariana. A great choice! Mariana provided excellent guidance for this. She gave me very useful exercises and practice pieces to get used to the instrument again and it was evident that she has good knowledge of music theory, clearly explaining background theory when needed. She is patient, kind and motivated, and this made the violin lessons always inspiring and fun. I was not sure about my level and how to pick suitable pieces, but Mariana had a good idea of this and came up with both short practice pieces and longer pieces to work on. The conservatory as a location is both convenient and scenic and Mariana was flexible with my irregular working hours. Altogether, I have really enjoyed my lessons with Mariana and would highly recommend her!

Perfect! Mariana is a very kind, patient, and focused teacher. I have been playing violin for 6 years with many different teachers and still have loads to learn from her. Before finding Mariana, I hadn’t had a teacher for a year and was looking for someone to help me improve my skills and bring more structure to my practice. Mariana’s lessons have helped me approach my violin playing with patience and care, bringing my attention to subtleties in intonation, posture, bow hold... which I wasn’t aware of before. Mariana has many creative exercises to help you with anything from bow distribution, to shifting positions, to double stops. The lessons take place at the HKU in Utrecht city center, are very flexible time-wise, and tailored to your needs. Lesson materials (etudes and pieces) are also provided. I started taking lessons in January and I have improved so much since. Thank you!!!
