Over Liam Raffaele

I’m an Italian student who recently moved to Eindhoven to continue my studies and pursue my dream of becoming a professional dancer.

Dance is my greatest passion, but I have always believed that studying and learning should remain an important part of my life. During my five years at a Classical High School in Italy, I developed a strong interest in languages, literature, grammar, mathematics, and many other subjects. Even after choosing to pursue dance professionally, I never wanted to stop learning and exploring these areas.

For me, knowledge becomes even more valuable when it is shared. I genuinely enjoy explaining things, helping others understand difficult concepts, and seeing someone become more confident thanks to what they have learned.

This is why I want to teach Italian: I see it not only as a language, but as a way to share my culture, my background, and the knowledge I have developed throughout my studies.

I want my lessons to be a place where you can learn something useful, ask questions freely, make mistakes without fear, and become more confident step by step. Sharing what I know is something I truly enjoy, and I hope to transmit that enthusiasm to my students.

Why is my teaching method different?

I believe that learning Italian should mean more than simply memorizing words or having conversations. My goal is to help you truly understand how the language works, while becoming confident using it in real life.

I studied at a Classical High School, where I spent years studying Latin and Ancient Greek. This gave me a particularly strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary, which I bring into my Italian lessons. I can explain not only what is correct, but also why it is correct, making difficult concepts much easier to understand and remember.

I also have more than 5 years of experience giving lessons to friends and other students in Italian, English, and mathematics. Over time, I’ve learned how to explain complex topics in a simple, clear, and personalized way, adapting my approach to each person’s needs and learning style.

But my lessons don’t end when the class is over. After each lesson, I create personalized online materials, including explanations, examples, vocabulary, and clear grammar schemes. You can access them whenever you want, allowing you to review everything at your own pace and build a complete learning resource lesson after lesson.

My method combines conversation, grammar, personalized materials, and years of teaching experience — giving you everything you need not just to speak Italian, but to genuinely understand it.

Finding someone who can be fun and professional at the same time seems impossible, but with Liam you can! He's always in a good mood, patient, and able to explain the same thing over and over if you have trouble with it. I highly suggest you rely on him for your Italian or your English!

I know Liam through his performances, which I have had the opportunity to see, and I also follow him on Instagram. He is a truly talented dancer and teacher. What I appreciate most about him is his incredible expressiveness: when he dances, it almost feels like he is acting, because he is able to convey emotions and tell a story through every movement. His passion for dance is clear, and it is something you don’t often see. I highly recommend him because I have personally seen how happy the mothers are when they bring their daughters to his classes. Seeing the girls become genuinely passionate about dance is probably the best proof of the quality of his teaching.

“I know Liam personally and can speak to how he approaches teaching. He’s patient, well prepared, and has a real eye for breaking the language down until it clicks in actual conversation, not just on paper. He moves between grammar and everyday spoken Italian and isn’t afraid to let the two contaminate each other, which makes his lessons feel alive rather than mechanical. He listens carefully before correcting, and adapts to the level and the goals of the student in front of him instead of repeating the same lesson twice. Anyone looking for an Italian teacher in Eindhoven would be in good hands.”

It's Jenny!
I've been studying with Liam for a long time now and I must state that he is the best! I keep all his docs he sends me after each class and tbh I don't know if I would have studied that much without them! He sends me homework every time regarding the lesson and that way I can fix everything in my mind.
Perfect!!! 5/5 to me!
