I am a teacher with 6 years of experience teaching in American Schools. I am someone who believes in meeting students where they are at in order to reach their goals. Together, we will create sustainable goals that we can accomplish throughout our time together, while also building a rapport that will make it easier to help make each lesson catered to them.
I start my 1 hour lessons with a quick writing practice, after which we focus on the task of the lesson at hand. I strive to use current references that students will understand to help them better understand what we are working on. I then end each lesson with a written reflection and or wrap up activity to help cement in what they learn.
I work mostly with secondary students, ages 11+. Whether it's to improve their English Language skills with reading, writing, or even grammar review, I want to see them succeed, and will do what I can to help them.
