Over Marta

I'm a certified holistic counselor and English tutor who recently moved to the Netherlands from Italy. I am passionate about what I do and my main approach is to build a meaningful experience both for my students and I.

I've always loved travelling and the English language ever since I was a child. From a young age, I had the opportunity to travel on numerous occasions, especially solo which helped me develop a strong sense of independence and curiosity about the world.

After graduating I decided to take the next step and move to the United States, where I lived for over a year. This experience helped me grow enormously, both personally and as a traveler, while allowing me to strengthen my English to the point where it feels almost like a second native language.

I am passionate about sharing this enthusiasm with my students and inspiring them to discover the joy of learning English. Whatever their needs, goals, or starting level, I am confident that I can support them on their learning journey and help them develop their language skills with confidence.

My teaching approach is centered on each student as an individual, taking into account their specific needs, interests, and goals; not only in terms of language learning but also personal development. Here's where I also bring in my counseling experience. I strongly believe that learning a new language can be a powerful tool for personal growth, helping students build confidence and develop greater self-assurance.

Through my TEFL training, I acquired the teaching methodologies and practical skills needed to teach English effectively. I have experience working with children of primary and middle school age, as well as teenagers attending high school.

I also offer lessons for adults who are starting from scratch or simply wish to improve their conversational English or develop specific skills. These include conversation, presentation skills, travel vocabulary, and other areas tailored to their individual needs.

I have extensive experience caring for children and helping them learn through creative, engaging, and enjoyable activities. My aim is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident in their abilities.

For those looking to improve their speaking skills and fluency, I also offer English-only lessons, providing an immersive environment in which students can practice speaking naturally and develop their conversational skills.

Finally, I provide personalized preparation for English language proficiency exams and certifications, helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
