I am from the Dominican Republic, with Spanish roots. I learned English when I was 6 years old, living in the United States for three and a half years. I continued my Bilingual education when I returned to the DR and became passionate about language learning. I studied Early Childhood education and a masters in Speech and language pathologies.
My experience expands beyond the classroom but the content and structured environment allowed me to develop my teaching toolbox beyond books. I use many channels to learning, and am a believer of the Multiple Intelligence theory of Howard Gardner.
I focus separately on vocabulary, grammar, reading & writing, as well as speaking. All put together through different combined exercises. Traveling, music, sports, movies and acting are some of my main interest. Why not use these as a means to learn?

My lessons follow the TEFL method, in which involves evaluating the prior knowledge, using various channels to identify the processing of each student. After assessment, I plan ahead the classes, focusing on practical content and needs of the student.
I am an Early Childhood educator that has taught preschool and elementary grades. I have 5+ years teaching, as well as tutoring.
Language Learning is my passion, as well as reading acquisition. I have a Masters in Speech and Language Pathologies, therefore, I also see the clinical perspective when assessing a student, and identify the difficulties, in order to plan and work on it.
My lessons are intended for ages 6 onwards. My experience goes more in the child population but I also have taught adults.
My lessons last 1 hour and I use different approaches to teaching. Lets enjoy the experience together and learn!
