I am currently a second year student studying Economics and Business economics at the University of Utrecht.
I was born and raised in South Africa, and gratuated with an 8.5 average for my English Home Language subject. I also gratuated with a 9 average for Business english and Academic writing in my first year of university.
I have fallen in love with the English language from a very young age by reading almost every classical English novel.
As a business and economics student entering the academic world, I have realized the importance of being able to write and communicate properly in English. ( Trust me, it will help you achieve your biggest carreer goals; and serve you for many more years to come.)
My goal will be to help you see how fun writing can be, and how you can let your creativity flow in all directions and still get an amazing grade!

During the tutoring session, the student and I will work together through their assignment to: Firstly, understand the objective of their assignment. Secondly, make a plan on how to approach the assignment, where I will provide them with notes regarding which formats, tenses and jargon to use.
For students seeking help with Business english, I will provide a document containing a Business glossary, exercises to improve their knowledge and understanding of certain words and phrases, as well as examples of business letters, essays and projects.
For students seeking help with Academic writing, I will provide a document that will break down the different academic writing styles, how to apply it and examples academic essays. I can also help the student with finding valid sources when they conducting their research, and show them how to reference their sources in their assignment ( APA, Harvard, Chicago style, etc).
Lastly, the student and I will read together through their work, where I will give additional notes and comments to improve their grammer and spelling.
I can also help students with classical english literature, such as Shakespeare, and analyzing poems.
