I like to make my students feel safe and welcome when I am tutoring, and the way I do this is by getting to know the student and attempting to connect with them to make the lessons fun and not feel like a chore. I practice conversation, reading out loud, spelling using fun and thought out exercises, and finally writing, alternating between the practices in order to cover all aspects of knowing the language. I further try to incorporate games to engage the student, provide fun activities and sometimes educational yet enjoyable movies to watch after the lesson in order to ensure consistency.
