While I tutor, my first focus is always to observe the areas of interest of the person in front of me, knowing that using them as examples will make the class more interesting. Moreover, I usually divide the class into different parts to avoid explaining one thing for an hour and boring the student. To be more precise, I start with reading and writing exercises and carry on with speaking activities.

I've mostly tutored kids (from 4 to 16 years olds) with different activities along with little games to make it more fun. However, I also have study materials for adults, where my methods are mainly focused on improving their speaking and writing skills.
Ideally, a productive lesson takes 1 hour and 30 minutes, but it could vary according to one's aim and age.
