Over Aleid
I live in Amsterdam, with my husband and two children (and a cat). In the somewhat distant past I've lived abroad twice. When I was 18 I attended a college in the US for a year and after graduating university I spent 8 months in Central America, traveling and learning Spanish.
I absolutely love teaching. It is so amazing to see my students make progress and find their way in the language. And if you speak English, Dutch really isn't that hard (except for the pronunciation maybe ...)

A lesson is 1 hour. We will use a book, but which one depends on your level and wishes. I also add a lot of exercises tailored to your needs. In class we talk about all sorts of subjects, so you get a lot time to practice speaking. I'm also an expert in grammar and business writing. But our classes of course will also have reading and listening exercises. I believe it is important to practice all different aspects of the language to truly get a feel or it.
I teach expats (adults only) who want to make the most of their Dutch experience. Learning Dutch will really make living in the Netherlands so much more fun!
I have a masters degree in Dutch Linguistics and a bachelors in teaching. I've worked at a university of applied sciences for 6 years and have now been a private Dutch teacher sinds 2017. I love every day!
