Hi, I´m David, musician and psychology student at the UvA with a big passion for guitar-playing.
I´m playing acoustic and electric guitar since ten years, solo and in bands. I mostly play Pop and Rock/Blues, so if you want to learn the hottest song from Ed Sheeran, an old classic from ZZTop or an Evergreen like "Here comes the sun", I´m more than happy to help you with that.
I want to offer affordable guitar lessons in English or German (I´m working on my Dutch) to everybody: whether you are young or more life-experienced, it should be possible for everyone to learn a new skill that you soon don´t wanna miss. I´m excited to share my ideas and knowledge with motivated (future) guitar players!

It´s important to me to create the guitar lessons based on your likings, goals and skills to make the learning as enjoyable and lasting as possible. Which genre do you like the most? Where are you making great progress and where are you still struggling?
Based on your interests I teach acoustic/ electric guitar, pop, rock, blues and fingerpicking and if you want, I can teach you some classical/Jazz pieces as well, I´m not an expert at the last two genres though.
Furthermore I will teach you the reading of tabs and sheet music. How are chords built and how do I write a song?
With more advanced players I will dive right in to the wide field of improvisation.
In a typical lesson we will play the guitar together (I will always have my own with me), put the song you´re playing on a speaker and play along, jam together, sing together (only if you want :)) and you will get a copy of the sheets so you can practice at home.
