Over Miriam
Hi! I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Maastricht University and an MSc in Bioinformatics & BioComplexity from Utrecht University. With experience in both fields, I understand how tricky certain topics—like cellular biology, genetics, and genomics—can be. I’ve been there myself, trying to keep up in fast-paced classes and make sense of complex material.
That’s why I’m passionate about helping students learn at their own pace, in a way that fits their needs and learning style. Whether it's understanding scientific concepts or getting into the logic of coding, I’m here to make things clearer and more approachable.
I truly enjoy teaching and am currently completing a course at Utrecht University to become a certified Teaching Assistant. My goal is to create a supportive, fun learning environment where you feel confident and motivated to grow.

My teaching philosophy is simple: it's all about you. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to fit your needs, goals, and personality. Whether you prefer a more structured, traditional approach with exercises and clear guidance, or you'd rather take the lead with a more student-driven style, we’ll decide together what works best for you.
I aim to create a fun, interactive, and relaxed learning environment—something you look forward to, not something to stress over. My goal is to make learning an enjoyable and empowering experience, where you're fully involved and supported every step of the way.
Let’s find a method that works for you and make learning something you actually enjoy!
