I’m a third-year Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence student at Tilburg University, originally from Colombia.
Languages have always fascinated me. When I was younger, I really wanted to learn different languages, but I didn’t always have access to formal language education. That’s why I find it so amazing how many opportunities we now have to learn independently through books, apps, music, videos, and the internet.
For me, language is also much more than just grammar and vocabulary. It reflects how people think, live, and see the world. When you learn a new language, you also learn something about the culture, history, habits, and even the humor behind it.
That’s also why I enjoy teaching Spanish so much. Today, we can learn a lot on our own, but having someone who listens to you, notices your mistakes, explains things in a different way, and adapts to the way you learn can still make a big difference. And of course, it helps when that person is a native Spanish speaker ;)
My goal is to create a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually gaining the confidence to actually speak and use Spanish.

I fully adapt my lessons to each student. Many of my previous students started completely from scratch, and I also have experience adapting my lessons to students with different learning needs. That’s why I don’t use one fixed method for everyone, but I do my best to understand what works for each student.
For students who enjoy a more dynamic and interactive way of learning, I use things like games, card and memory games, role-playing, short acting exercises, and practical conversations. We can also use music by translating and discussing song lyrics, or work with interesting YouTube videos, films, and other topics the student enjoys. This way, Spanish becomes something you actively use rather than something you only learn from a book.
For students who prefer a clearer and more academic structure, I can work with textbooks, grammar exercises, vocabulary, homework, and any other study materials they are already using or need.
My lessons are suitable for different levels, including complete beginners. My main goal is always the same: to understand how each student learns best and adapt the lessons accordingly, so that learning Spanish stays effective, personal, and enjoyable.
