Hi, I'm Martina! I'm a native Italian and English speaker, currently studying Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (also part of the Honours Programme at UvA) after completing my IB Diploma in Milan. Growing up bilingual has given me a natural feel for how language actually works in real conversation, not just grammar rules, but tone, nuance, and confidence.
Beyond my studies, I've always been drawn to connecting with people from different backgrounds, whether through Model United Nations conferences, where I represented countries and negotiated with delegates from around the world, or through community volunteering, where clear, patient communication was essential every day.
I believe learning a language should feel encouraging, not stressful. My approach blends structure with genuine curiosity about who you are and what you want to achieve, whether that's academic English, or simply speaking with more confidence.
Music, travel, and community are big parts of my life, and I love bringing that same energy and openness into my lessons. Let's make learning English something you actually look forward to!

I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, goals and learning style. Having completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma with English Literature A, I can help students develop their English through conversation, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. I focus on making lessons interactive and practical, while also helping students build confidence. A typical lesson combines explanation, guided exercises and independent practice, with materials adapted to the student’s needs. As a Psychology student and someone with experience working with children, I am patient, empathetic and attentive to how each student learns best. My lessons are suitable for children and teenagers from beginner to advanced school level, including students who want support with English homework, school exams or general English skills.
