Hi! I'm Kate, I am a 25 year old German-American, who has had plenty of experience with language learning and all of the difficulties it can include. I understand learning a language from non-native and native speakers can have a big impact on your understanding since I've had both. I know what feeling foreign feels like and how language can help to break that barrier. My main goal is to help other people not only understand and feel comfortable with English but also understand why certain things are the way they are and possibly what impact that has on the way you see the world. Since I am now in the process of learning my fourth language, I believe it is one of the many keys to understanding different people and cultures and I would love to spread that understanding and knowledge! :)

Our lessons would look like: around an hour of first understanding your level of English and then proceeding to work from that point. Mostly using conversation to discuss an excerpt from a text we read, along with learning to find errors in small texts I have you write. I believe it's important to consume language as naturally as possible, it shouldn't be stressful or demanding, as long as you're consistent you will improve!
Since I move from the US to Germany at 15, many of my German classmates and I traded German tutoring for English tutoring. So I have a decent amount of experience with tutoring around homework, but also general understanding of the English language.
