Over Dirkwillem
I have taught Dutch Language, NT2 (Dutch as a second language), English, German, Arithmetic and 2nd-degree science (PTH Zwolle) for over 30 years.
Numerous students from all over the world have been or are currently my students. At present, they come from Argentina, Italy (2), Spain (2), Australia, Ukraine, and South Africa.
A We can work with a grammatically oriented method that guides through 7 chapters to achieve a basic level. Reaching this level depends on your daily study efforts. This method incorporates cartoons, schedules, examples, and a supportive website.
Our collaboration takes place via a Google shared document.
B: Alternatively, we can adopt a conversational approach, focusing on grammar only when absolutely necessary. Your confidence in using Dutch will improve each week. We can select different methods (all supported by websites) based on your current level, personal schedule, and study skills. Additionally, I will insights about the Netherlands, including its history, traditions, geography, social behaviors, etcetera.
Our collaboration also takes place via a Google shared document.

Lessons will conducted online, tailored to your level, needs, and interests. Practical application is highly beneficial for a new language. You may choose to focus solely on conversation or include, reading, and listening as well.
All new students are required to take a free level test, lasting approximately two hours.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes long, they include private lessons or group lessons (maximum of 2 participants, lasting 1.5 hours).
In the event that lessons proceed due to reasons on either side, no charges will apply.

The lessons were always nice and interesting. We learned a lot and got to practice all aspects of the language. Moreover, Dirk always shared interesting facts about the Netherlands with us, its history and culture.

Dirk has been my Nederlands docent for two years, with a weekly lesson. I very much enjoy my lessons with Dirk. Dirk is flexible and student led in terms of how you would like to study. He has a good sense of humour and a cool camper.
