The point of learning is that of understanding difficulties. My approach would be focused on finding the missing pieces in the foundation of the student and building and developing knowledge on the preparation that the student already has. In my experience, interactive and practical learning is the method that guarantees familiarity in the concepts. On the other hand, a context where the language is often encountered would be extremely useful as passive learning, therefore the use of media could be definitely considered as complementary to the learning method.
