Born and raised in Costa Rica. I did a bachelor's in Economics at my local University, graduating in the top 5% of my class. During my time as a student I tutored mainly statistics and mathematics at both university and high school level, mainly as a way of making some extra money, but also because I enjoy it.
Short before graduating I worked at the statistics department from Central Bank, doing mainly statistical modeling, but also macro econometric research. After 1.5 years at Central Bank I decided for a career change and started working as researcher and consultant at McKinsey and Company. I worked mainly for public sector and in economic development issues, which included a lot of macroeconomic, international trade, finance and economic impact analysis. I was 3.5 years at McKinsey and last year I decided to come to Rotterdam for a masters in Economics at EUR. I finished my masters around a year ago and now I work and live in Amsterdam. I work full time as a research manager and enjoy tutoring on my time free to keep my knowledge fresh!
