Hi! I am Alejandro, a dedicated IB Mathematics and Physics tutor with over 3 years of experience helping high school students master the IB Diploma Programme.
Having personally completed the IB Diploma with a 7/7 in both Math AA HL and Physics SL, I understand the exact requirements, exam techniques, and conceptual hurdles students face. I am currently completing my Double Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Over the past three years, I have mentored multiple students across both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) courses, helping them improve their grades, master difficult topics, and build confidence for their final exams.

In my experience tutoring IB students in Physics and Mathematics, the main difficulty isn't understanding the theory, especially since most of the theory is already provided in the IB Data Booklet. The real difficulty lies in problem-solving skills and applying abstract concepts to non-standard exam questions.
While our sessions will always address any theoretical doubts first (as a solid conceptual base is essential), the majority of our time is spent solving real exam and exam-style questions together. Instead of just watching me solve problems, we work through challenging questions side by side. I guide you through the reasoning process step by step, helping you identify pattern recognition, master time-management strategies, and avoid common examiner traps.
This active problem-solving approach ensures that by the time you sit down for your May or November exams, you have developed the intuition, confidence, and analytical skills needed to tackle even the hardest Paper 1, 2, or 3 questions independently.
