I’m originally from Spain and moved to Utrecht to study Theoretical Physics at the MSc level, after completing my Physics degree in Valladolid. Alongside my studies I work as a Teaching Assistant at the university, and I’ve spent several years tutoring students privately in maths and physics. I enjoy teaching because I remember what it felt like to be stuck on a problem and to finally have someone explain it in a way that clicked, and I try to give my students that same moment. Outside of teaching, I’ve also served as a student representative, which taught me a lot about listening to what students actually need.

My lessons start by identifying exactly where a student gets stuck, then building back up from there step by step, rather than jumping straight to exercises. I explain the reasoning behind each method, not just the steps, so it actually sticks. A typical lesson mixes short explanations with lots of guided practice, and I adapt the pace to each student. I work with secondary school students preparing for exams, as well as university students tackling calculus, linear algebra, mechanics, or statistics for the first time.
