Over Romão
I’m currently completing a Master’s in Econometrics and Operations Research in Rotterdam, with a strong academic background in mathematics, statistics and quantitative subjects. Alongside my studies, I work as a tutor and have experience helping students with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and related subjects at secondary-school level, as well as more advanced mathematics and statistics.
I like to keep lessons relaxed and approachable. I take the work seriously, but I don’t think learning has to feel rigid or stressful. My goal is not just to help with the next exercise or test, but to make difficult concepts feel logical and manageable. Having studied across engineering, mathematics and econometrics, I’m also comfortable explaining the same idea from different angles until it clicks.

My lessons are fully adapted to the student. If there are specific topics, difficulties or weaknesses they want to work on, we focus directly on those and build the lesson around their needs. If there is no particular area to target, we work through the contents step by step, making sure each topic is properly understood before moving on.
I like to keep lessons interactive and practical, combining explanation with exercises rather than just going through theory. I also try to understand where a mistake comes from instead of simply correcting it, so the student can become more independent and confident over time.
I tutor Mathematics, Calculus, Algebra, Statistics and Probability from secondary-school level up to university level, depending on the subject. I also teach Physics, Chemistry and Economics at secondary-school level.
