My approach is centered in the student and adapts accordingly to each situation. Overall, I emphasize an active learning through questioning techniques, interactive exercises, and problem-based learning to engage students. Moreover, I prefer to break down complex topics into manageable parts, gradually increasing the difficulty to build-up confidence. To achieve this, I constantly employ diagrams, simulations, and real-world analogies to help explain abstract concepts.
A typical lesson is composed by a quick warm-up, reviewing the previous lesson; next we will set the new learning objectives, followed by a content explanation and a practice & application section. Finally, we will conclude with pending questions and suggested practice exercises.
My expertise areas span mathematics and physics, from basic to university level. Additionally, I specialize in control systems, mechatronics engineering, and programming (Python, C/C++, Java, Matlab).
Finally, I adapt my teaching to various levels, including university students from any mathematical and engineering background; vocational and technical students (MBO/HBO); as well as enthusiasts and career switchers.
