Language of instruction: English (Dutch language is unfortunately impossible for me)

Level of Instruction: all-level except specialized physics study at university.

Targeted students: those who take Advanced placement physics 1,2, C (electromagnetism) and C (mechanics) and also for Dutch Havo Vwo exams.

My course is of free style meaning I teach on the demand of the students and I customize the lessons based on the interests of the students.

Structure of the lesson in brief:

(1) Warm up session (this is done after you have briefed the material I send you)
(2) Teaching
(3) Puzzle sessions
(4) Homework and feedback.
The first 3 components will be administered in an hour of time and homework will be finished by you before the next lesson. This will also be discussed.


The concept that will cover:
Part (1): Motion and mechanics
(1) Motion of Objects.
(2) Velocity and Acceleration (Can be taught more advanced way in differential equations)
(3) 1,2,3 Newton Law
(4) The addition and subtraction of force and the decomposition in 2,3 dimensions.
(5) Basic concepts of differentials such as curl and divergence, and fundamental theorem of line integral (optional)
(6) Introduction to work along a path (can be taught in more elementary)
(7) Momentum and angular momentum.
(8) Angular velocity and period of motion.
(9) Introductions of potential as scaler potentials, and how it overlaps with conservative vector field. (Optional)
(10) Introductions to inertia (Including definitions of inertia, the Rayleigh quotient, eigenvalue interlacing for sums of hermitian matrices and bordered hermitian matrices, Sylvester’s criteria, diagonal entries and eigenvalues of hermitian matrices, congruence & interim of hermitian matrices, congruence and inertia of normal matrices and weyl’s inequality.
(11) Introductions to conservation of energy and conservation of momentum.
(12) Application: Universal gravity, motions of celestial objects and calculations of work done, velocity, period, and etc,.

Part (2) Energy

(1) Einstein equations for energ-mass conservation
(2) Introduction to Planck units.
(3) Derivation of formula for energy level excitement and photonic energy. (Required basic understanding of characteristics polynomial and method for solving differential equations)
(4) Introduction to alpha, beta and gamma rays and their distinctions.
(5) Conversions of electronvolt and Joules.
(6) Decay energy and detailed calculations of half life and half penetration.
(7) Introductions to weak and strong force.
(8) Detailed calculations of concepts involved.

Part (3) Optics


(1) Introduction to Lagrange multipliers and shell’s law
(2) Refractive index over different medium.
(3) Introduction to mirages.
(4) Introduction to Lens.
(5) Specular reflection, defuse reflection and law of reflection.
(6) Supercomposition and interference
(7) Diffraction and optical resolutions.
(8) Dispersion and Scattering.

Part(4): Thermodynamics (Including ideal gas law)
Part(5): Relativity.
Part(6): Introduction of Quantum Mechanics.
